Napoli player ratings vs Eintracht Frankfurt Eljif Elmas (8.2); Rasmus Højlund (5.9); Matteo Politano (6.1); Scott McTominay (7.1); Stanislav Lobotka (7.0); Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa (7.9)

Napoli and Frankfurt left with a point after a tight, frustrating contest at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. There was no goal, despite Napoli enjoying far more possession and probing often, but Frankfurt defended in disciplined blocks an made it difficult.
The key turning point came late, when Napoli failed to clear a set piece in the 73rd minute and Ansgar Knauff got a close-range shot, only for Vanja Milinković-Savić to produce a superb save to keep the clean sheet.
Both teams entered the night knowing a win could lift them closer to the top eight, but neither found the edge to claim all three points.
In the first half, Napoli rotated possession, looked for openings down the wings or through midfield, but never carved a decisive chance.
Frankfurt sat deep, compact, and showed patience on the break. Neither side had a clear, big opening before half-time.
Early in the second half, Napoli pressed harder, but Frankfurt grew more confident in resisting waves of attacks.
When Knauff’s chance was denied, the momentum shifted, Napoli sensed an opening but could not convert.
Later, in the 83rd minute, Anguissa squared for McTominay six yards out, but his attempt flew over the bar. After that, Frankfurt held their shape and limited further danger, and the game ended goalless.
Vanja Milinković-Savić (7.7)
Another calm, confident performance from the Serbian goalkeeper. He wasn’t tested too often but handled everything Frankfurt threw at him with composure.
Made four saves, including one key stop to deny Knauff in the second half. His positioning was sharp, and his distribution, 33 accurate passes. A deserved clean sheet.
Giovanni Di Lorenzo (7.3)
Reliable as ever. Napoli’s captain balanced his defensive duties with the occasional forward run. He dealt well with Frankfurt’s quick transitions, winning most aerial duels and showing good awareness throughout. Not flashy, but solid and consistent.
Amir Rrahmani (7.7)
Commanding display in central defense. Rrahmani stayed alert, cut out several dangerous balls into the box, and won four out of five aerial duels. He was calm under pressure and showed good leadership alongside Buongiorno.
Alessandro Buongiorno (7.5)
Strong and aggressive in challenges. He made four tackles and led by example with his physical presence. Sometimes overstepped with fouls, but his energy and willingness to block and recover stood out. A gritty showing.
Miguel Gutiérrez (8.0)
Outstanding on the left. He handled defensive work brilliantly, with eight recoveries and three key tackles. Also tried to drive forward when Napoli looked flat. His balance between defending and pushing up was perfect.
Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa (7.9)
A dominant engine in midfield. He carried the ball well and created three chances, even though his finishing let him down with a big miss in the first half. Anguissa’s energy and pressure control kept Napoli ticking.
Stanislav Lobotka (7.0)
Quiet but efficient. He kept the ball moving, completed all his long passes, and supported the defense when Frankfurt countered. A tidy, if not standout, display.
Scott McTominay (7.1)
Worked hard and covered plenty of ground. Had one good chance late on that he skied over, but his physicality in midfield added bite. Needs to be sharper in front of goal.
Matteo Politano (6.1)
Struggled to find rhythm on the right flank. His crosses didn’t connect, and Frankfurt’s full-backs closed him down quickly. Subbed off early in the second half.
Rasmus Højlund (5.9)
A frustrating night for the striker. Missed Napoli’s biggest chance of the game, firing straight at the keeper. His movement was fine, but he lacked the finishing touch Napoli needed.
Eljif Elmas (8.2)
Napoli’s brightest spark. Full of energy, creativity, and precision. He constantly looked to make things happen, registered two shots on target, and completed 50% of his dribbles. His ball control and decision-making stood out, and he deservedly took the Man of the Match award.
David Neres (6.1)
Couldn’t make much impact after coming on. Tried a few dribbles, but Frankfurt’s defense stayed tight.
Noa Lang (6.4)
Added some pace and intent on the wing but lacked the final delivery.
Michael Zetterer (7.8)
Solid performance from the Frankfurt keeper. Made two sharp saves, especially one low dive to deny Elmas in the second half. His command of the box wasn’t perfect, but he stayed alert when Napoli pressed. Collected a yellow card for time-wasting late on, showing how much he wanted that clean sheet. His kicking wasn’t the best, completing less than half of his passes, but he did enough to keep Frankfurt level.
Nnamdi Collins (7.5)
A mature display from the young defender. He made one vital clearance off the line and stayed composed throughout, stopping Napoli’s forward runs before they turned dangerous. A quiet but vital part of Frankfurt’s defensive wall.
Robin Koch (7.6)
A rock at the back. He cleared almost everything that came into the box, thirteen clearances and two blocks show how dominant he was aerially. Stayed calm and barely put a foot wrong. One of Frankfurt’s most important players on the night.
Arthur Theate (7.2)
Reliable and disciplined. Made two good tackles and several clearances when Napoli increased pressure in the second half. He didn’t overcommit.
Rasmus Kristensen (6.7)
Worked hard up and down the flank but struggled to create much going forward. Tried to push into advanced areas, but Napoli’s wingers pinned him back often. Defensively, he held his own.
Fares Chaibi (7.2)
One of Frankfurt’s liveliest midfielders. Took two shots, with one on target, and created a few half chances from corners. His work rate was high. Nine recoveries summed up his effort.
Hugo Larsson (6.4)
Did a lot of running but lacked influence in midfield. His passing into the final third wasn’t accurate, and he often played it safe. Helped with a few defensive clearances but didn’t stand out.
Nathaniel Brown (7.8)
Excellent performance both defensively and offensively. Won several key duels, completed all his dribbles, and wasn’t afraid to take on players. His tackling was top-notch, seven in total, making him one of the best performers for Frankfurt.
Mario Götze (6.6)
Tried to dictate play but couldn’t find much space.
Jean Bahoya (6.3)
Looked lively early on but faded as the game went on. Managed one shot on target and a few runs into the box, but couldn’t find a way past Napoli’s defense.
Jonathan Burkardt (6.9)
Worked hard up front, dropping deep to link play. His crossing and hold-up play were tidy, though he rarely looked like scoring. A decent shift.
Ansgar Knauff (6.1)
Nearly the hero with his late effort that forced a save from Milinković-Savić. Brought energy but had too little time to make a bigger impact.
Ellyes Skhiri (6.1)
Helped shore up midfield in the final minutes; no major involvement.
Aurèle Amenda & Mahmoud Dahoud:
Both came on late to run down the clock.
