Inter Milan 2-1 Hellas Verona Player Ratings | Sun, Nov 2. Lautaro Martínez (6.6); Ange-Yoan Bonny (6.4); Carlos Augusto (7.0); Piotr Zieliński (7.3); Hakan Çalhanoğlu (8.5); Petar Sučić (7.4)

Inter Milan escaped Verona with a late 2–1 win in Serie A Round 10-Sunday, that felt more like survival than control. The visitors started bright and got their reward early.
In the 16th minute, Piotr Zielinski found space on the edge of the box and curled a beautiful low shot into the corner. Verona didn’t fold. They stayed compact, waited for their moment, and got level just before half-time when Giovane broke free down the right and beat Yann Sommer with a sharp finish.
The game tightened after the break. Inter saw more of the ball but created little. Verona stayed organised, threatening now and then on the counter. There was a scare for Inter when Yann Bisseck fouled Giovane on the run, but the defender escaped with only a yellow.
Then, deep into stoppage time, the cruel twist came. Nicolo Barella sent a cross into the box, and Martin Frese’s attempted clearance spun off his boot into his own net.
Verona’s players dropped to the ground; Inter’s bench let out a long breath. It was harsh on the hosts, who fought all night, but Inter held on for another gritty win.
Lorenzo Montipò (6.7)
Montipò had a busy one, facing a strong Inter attack that tested him from start to finish. He made four saves and looked alert in his area, punching one cross clear. Despite conceding twice, he couldn’t do much about either goal. His distribution was steady with 31 passes, and overall, he gave a composed display even under constant pressure.
Armel Bella-Kotchap (6.8)
Solid defensively, Bella-Kotchap threw himself into blocks and made seven clearances. He was sharp in his reading of play, intercepting one dangerous ball and blocking three shots. Though he lost a few aerial duels, his physical presence helped Verona hold off Inter for long stretches.
Victor Nelsson (7.3)
Nelsson was Verona’s best defender. He made eight clearances and three interceptions, standing firm against Lautaro Martínez. His positioning was excellent, and he used the ball well with 17 accurate passes. A calm and mature performance at the back.
Martin Frese (6.5)
Frese worked hard throughout, making six clearances and two tackles. He tried to push forward at times but had limited support. Sadly, he was involved in the late own goal that handed Inter the win, an unfortunate moment in an otherwise brave effort.
Rafik Belghali (6.5)
Belghali looked lively in phases and tried to spark attacks from the right. He completed one dribble and created two chances, though his passing accuracy (67%) let him down. Still, his energy and movement helped Verona transition quickly on the counter.
Jean-Daniel Akpa Akpro (6.8)
Akpa Akpro was strong in midfield duels, winning several key battles in the center. His passing was simple but effective, completing 75% of his 12 passes. He covered a lot of ground and gave Verona the bite they needed in the middle.
Roberto Gagliardini (6.7)
One of Verona’s most composed players on the ball. Gagliardini kept play ticking with 35 passes at a 91% accuracy rate. He stayed disciplined defensively and supported both full-backs when Inter overloaded the flanks.
Antoine Bernede (6.0)
Bernede struggled to leave his mark before being taken off. He had a 72% pass rate, but his influence faded as Inter dominated possession. Not his best outing.
Domagoj Bradarić (6.5)
Bradarić worked hard up and down the left side, helping defensively and trying to support Giovane in attack. He made one shot that went off target and kept things tidy with 71% passing. His effort couldn’t be faulted, even if the end product wasn’t there.
Giovane (7.3)
Verona’s standout performer. Giovane scored their only goal with a smart finish and always looked a threat on the break. He took two shots, completed a couple of dribbles, and was brave on the ball. Though he lost possession a few times, his goal gave Verona real hope.
Gift Orban (7.0)
Orban grabbed the assist for Giovane’s goal with clever play and looked lively until his substitution. He had two shots, tried to link play, and wasn’t afraid to take on defenders. His work rate and quick thinking made a difference in attack.
Amin Sarr (6.3)
Came on late to add fresh legs in attack. He touched the ball a few times and completed all his passes, showing good focus despite little time to make a difference.
Barely had minutes to settle into the game. Managed a few passes and even had a shot blocked, but his impact was too short to judge properly.
Daniel Mosquera (6.4)
Replaced Orban and tried to stretch Inter’s backline with runs behind, completing five of seven passes, though he couldn’t find space to test Sommer.
Cheikh Niasse (6.5)
Offered a bit more control in midfield when he came in. He picked out a smart key pass that led to one of Verona’s late half-chances.
Yann Sommer (6.6):
Didn’t have much to do for most of the match, but when called upon, he made one important save to keep things calm. Conceded once but couldn’t have done much about it. His distribution (32 passes) was neat and steady, helping Inter build from the back as usual.
Alessandro Bastoni (7.8):
A composed performance at the back. Won 11 of his 12 duels, made 4 tackles, and had 2 interceptions. His ability to step forward with the ball helped Inter keep control, completing 72 of 83 passes with 87% accuracy. Even managed a shot on target and stayed strong aerially with 4 duels won.
Yann Aurel Bisseck (7.1):
Excellent passing from the young defender — 95 out of 97 completed (98%). His reading of the game stood out with 5 clearances and 3 interceptions. Rarely misplaced a ball and stayed calm even under Verona’s press. Lost possession just four times all game
Manuel Obafemi Akanji (7.2):
Solid in his role, making 5 clearances and 2 interceptions. Passed cleanly (89/97, 92% accuracy) and helped Inter circulate the ball smoothly. Won 2 of 3 duels and handled Verona’s aerial threat well with 6 successful long balls. Reliable throughout.
Carlos Augusto (7.0):
Worked hard down the flank and kept things simple with 82% pass accuracy. Created one chance and saw a shot blocked before coming off after 65 minutes. His defensive tracking was solid, and he provided width when Inter pushed forward.
Piotr Zieliński (7.3):
Scored Inter’s opening goal and was lively throughout his 55 minutes. Had 2 shots on target and completed 26 of 33 passes. Drifted between lines, linking up well with Lautaro and Çalhanoğlu. Faded slightly before being substituted, but his goal gave Inter momentum.
Hakan Çalhanoğlu (8.5) – Man of the Match:
The heartbeat of Inter’s midfield. Controlled everything from deep, completing 99 of 110 passes (90%). Registered an assist, created 5 chances, and had 5 shots himself. His precision with long balls (7/13 accurate) constantly switched play. Dictated tempo from start to finish and deservedly earned MOTM.
petar Sučić (7.4):
Quietly effective performance. Completed 44 of 50 passes (88%) and made 2 key passes. Added physicality in midfield, winning 11 duels and showed growing confidence before coming off late.
Luis Henrique (6.5):
Played only 55 minutes but contributed well early on. Made 85% of his passes, created one chance, and linked up with Zieliński before fading slightly. Still finding rhythm in this Inter setup but showed good intent.
Lautaro Martínez (6.6):
Worked hard but couldn’t find his finishing touch. Had 5 shots, 2 on target and one big chance missed. Dropped deep to connect play but often isolated up front. Completed 16 of 22 passes and drew 2 fouls, yet never truly looked sharp inside the box.
Ange-Yoan Bonny (6.4):
Started with energy but lacked end product. Completed 7 of 8 passes (88%) and made 3 in the final third, but didn’t trouble the Verona defence enough. Came off after 55 minutes without a shot on target.
Denzel Dumfries (6.2)
Added energy on the right flank but didn’t quite influence the game. He moved up and down well but lost the ball a few times and couldn’t deliver a telling cross.
Came in very late, barely enough time to make an impact.
Nicolò Barella (7.2)
Made a noticeable difference once introduced. His calm presence in midfield helped Inter regain control. Two key passes and clever movement kept Verona chasing shadows in the closing stages.
Federico Dimarco (6.9)
Gave Inter extra width after coming on. He got forward quickly and even forced a save with a well-hit effort. Decent contribution in limited minutes.
Francesco Pio Esposito (6.8)
Brought a bit of energy and movement up front. Had two efforts off target and kept Verona’s defenders busy. Lively cameo from the young striker.
