Why They Best All Rounder In IPL
In 10th place, Rashid Khan. Khan is one of the worlds best spin bowlers. He has also played a role with the bat as a lower order big hitting batsman with great effect.
In 9th place, Keiron Pollard. Pollard has had more of an impact with the bat, but on many occasions, he has taken vital wickets for Mumbai. He would find a place in the top 10 all-rounders in every league he has played.
In 8th, Ben Stokes. The Englishman only played 45 matches in the IPL to date, but his impact has been enormous. He was player of the tournament in 2017 with 316 runs and 12 wickets and has an uncanny ability to win matches with both bat and ball.
In 7th, Hardik Pandya. Leading Gujarat Titans to the 2022 title in their first season, Pandya is the epitome of the modern cricketer. His 487 runs and 8 wickets in the title winning season cemented his place in IPL folklore.
6th place goes to Jacques Kallis. The South African has been called one of world crickets’ greatest ever players, and his performances across all formats over many years back up those sentiments. He dominated the IPL in 98 matches toward the end of his career, and one can only imagine what he would have done if IPL existed in Kallis’s prime.
Sunil Narine takes out 5th place. While Narine’s bowling is his main weapon, he has made over 1500 runs at an average of 16.8 often when his team has needed him the most. With 180 wickets at an incredible 6.7 economy, the West Indian has earned his place in the top 5.
In 4th, Andre Russell. Russell has dominated the T20 game across the globe, and of course, in the IPL. Averaging nearly 30 with the bat, Russell also has a staggering 115 wickets to his name. One of the true greats of T20 cricket.
In 3rd is Russell’s West Indian team mate, Dwayne Bravo. Plying his trade across Mumbai, Gujarat and Chennai, Russell brought an electricity to his IPL performances that almost no one has been able to match, causing havoc with the ball and chipping in with vital runs when his team needed him.
Number 2 is Shane Watson. The Australian all rounder was one of the original stars of the IPL, and he comfortably tops this list for runs scored, with 3874. Watson took 92 wickets in his IPL career, an astounding achievement considering the impact he had with the bat. Watson set the tone for the modern cricketer, and many players have followed.
